EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION
The Macon-Bibb County Planning & Zoning Commission accepts applications for all posted positions without regard to gender, race, age, ethnicity or disability.
HOW TO APPLY: Employment applications are available in PDF format. All questions on the application must be completed. If a question is not applicable to you, put "N/A". "See Resume" is not accepted. Information must be entered on the application form.
PROCESSING APPLICATIONS: Employment applications, resumes, and/or cover letter must reflect the candidates' ability to meet the minimum qualifications for the posted position. If minimum qualifications of the posted position are not reflected, the application will not be processed.
All employment applications, resumes, and/or cover letter will be screened to determine if the applicant meets the minimum qualifications as defined in the job posting. Minimum qualifications may include education, training, experience, license or certification, minimum age requirements etc.
All interviews are arranged by Human Resources.
Applicants who are considered for employment will be checked for the following per job requirements:
Motor Vehicle Record (last seven years)
Criminal Background Check
Credit History
Alcohol and Substance Abuse Screening
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or permit to work in the U.S.
Reference checks from previous employers
Educational Transcript
Applicants whose results for these checks are not satisfactory will not be considered further for employment.
If applicants are requested by Human Resources to furnish information to support their application, they must return the information - or evidence that information has been requested - within two weeks of the request. If the information is not received in this period of time, and there is no contact with Human Resources from the applicant about the information, Human Resources will consider the applicant to have withdrawn from consideration for the position applied for. The application will not be processed further.
