Outside of the mandated comprehensive planning requirements and the transportation and conformity determination requirements, the Commission provides assistance to the city, county, and other agencies of local government. In the past, the Commission has prepared a strategic plan for East Bibb County, a conceptual design for Ingleside Avenue, many housing studies for the Economic and Community Development Department for the City of Macon, design concepts for city parks, and the preparation of population data for the Bibb County Board of Education, just to name a few tasks.
